Desk lamp 'io'
io – namesake of this desk lamp – is the innermost of the four moons of Jupiter.
Like a satellite, a conical rolling resistance circles the back of the joints. It generates enough holding force that a gas pressure spring can be dispensed with.
The octagonal extrusion of the arms flows seamlessly into the geometries of the lamp head, joints, base and table bracket and creates a coherent plain picture.
